The march for life is
using persuasion rather than coercion by republicans shoving their ideas down
the throats of women and pro- choice advocates.
Coercing means convincing
someone to do something they don’t want to do, so if telling someone they are a
baby killer isn’t coercion, I’m not sure what is.
How are they using
argument – by telling women abortion = killing babies. By calling women hurtful
names, telling them what they can and can’t do with their own body, and
demeaning their character.
Since women are going to
be taking on 100% of the duty of this pregnancy, no they are not “irresponsible”
and not heartless. They feel for this innocent “baby” (not a baby) much more
than a man.
Emotion is a KEY point in
communication. This march is all about emotion. Defunding Planned Parenthood is
extremely counterproductive and will only cause more unwanted babies. Unwanted
babies can get left in the hospital, put into an unsafe foster home, endure
starvation or abuse, live and suffer through a debauched life, the list goes on
the list goes on. Of course
this is not always the cause, but we cannot act like it isn’t prevalent. So
taking away safe resources is straight up insane, and will not prevent
abortions from happening, it will only prevent the safe ones.
Not all pregnancies are
planned. Rape victims, forced pregnancy, (which sometimes happens in the
context of domestic violence), being walked out on ext. are all very serious,
unpreventable topics that will never go away- so why should the treatment measures?
Should we assume the 42 million induced abortions per year worldwide are all
attached to people who can afford it? In the United States, over 93% of
abortions are the result of unintended pregnancy.
