Three men make a tiger, refers to the idea of how often and fast information spread throughout the media no matter how absurd it may seem. Although the internet is a great resource and is able to provide people with a lot of useful information, it can also be filled with lies and misconceptions due to the fact that pretty much anyone can access most information. People are able to add as much information to the internet as possible and sometimes, the information they are adding are false. Oftentimes, we hear people say "if it is on the internet, it must be true", this concept pokes fun at the three men make a tiger ideology. Some people are so quick to assume that everything on the internet is accurate, hence contribute to spreading false information all over the web. One of the biggest ways in which this concept manifest itself is through memes. Memes have become very popular over the years, and people have somehow managed to turn almost anything and all things into memes. Although most memes are comical and are usually made to take a jab at something or someone, but can sometimes be full of lies and misconceptions. With that being said, because most people can relate to memes and generally really like it, we tend to continue to share them even if they are absurd.
Spreading false information through the internet and media can quickly become dangerous, especially if the information being speak is targeted towards a certain group of people. Unfortunately, not everyone is willing to do the additional research themselves to see if what is being said is either true or not. Most people just go by what is being shown on media, therefore spreading misconceptions and false accusations on the internet can be dangerous and can further encourage racism, misogyny, homophobia, sexism, and so much more.
